Andrew Stanton, director de Buscando a Nemo y guionista de varias películas de Pixar (Toy Story, Bichos, WALL-E, entre otras) nos presenta a través de esta charla de TED, las claves para crear una gran historia, y lo hace de forma muy interesante, contando su propia historia desde el final hasta el principio.
Algunos apuntes interesantes:
Make the audience put things together. Don’t give them four, give them two plus two.
Storytelling — (Laughter) is joke telling. It’s knowing your punchline, your ending, knowing that everything you’re saying, from the first sentence to the last, is leading to a singular goal, and ideally confirming some truth that deepens our understandings of who we are as human beings.
So we’re all learning all the time. And that’s why change is fundamental in story. If things go static, stories die, because life is never static.
When you’re telling a story, have you constructed anticipation? In the short-term, have you made me want to know what will happen next? But more importantly, have you made me want to know how it will all conclude in the long-term?
Son 19 minutos llenos de tips para crear una historia que atrape a nuestra audiencia, vale la pena invertirlos de la mano de un muy buen presentador. Adicional, me gustaría que al verla se dieran cuenta que Andrew no esta haciendo la presentación de memoria, esta siguiendo sus notas en las pantallas que tiene en los pies, aún si en la proyección principal no tiene un slide visible, él si tiene los apuntes que lo van guiando durante la presentación, algo que un buen presentador siempre tiene a la mano.
